China releases state oil product reserves

China’s National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration has announced that it is releasing some state oil product reserves to the domestic market in an attempt to ease an ongoing energy supply shortage and stabilise fuel prices, Argus reports. While the volume being supplied or regions being targeted have not been specified, the administration has stated that the release has been made in accordance with the recent supply and demand situation in the domestic oil product market, according to Reuters.
