Chinese refinery throughput rises in October
Oil
Chinese refinery throughput increased by 110K b/d m-o-m to 13.81M b/d in October, rising to a three-month high after previously falling to a sixteen-month low in September, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Refiners have been incentivised to boost their crude runs as climbing fuel prices support refining margins amid robust refined oil product demand and domestic diesel shortages, Reuters report. Despite this increase throughput remains down by 340K b/d y-o-y however.
