Canada’s August coking coal exports (excluding cargoes to the US) came in at 2.1 Mt in August, up slightly on the 2.0 Mt exported in August 2020, data from IHS showed.

China was the main destination for Canadian coking coal exports in August, closely followed by South Korea with both countries registering volumes of just over 0.7 Mt each.

China imported 0.3 Mt, and South Korea 0.4 Mt in the same month a year earlier.
