Chinese Steel Prices Rise

Following the country’s Golden Week public holiday, prices for key steel products in China have risen, data from World Steel Dynamics show.
The domestic price for rebar was assessed at $780/t on 11 October, up from $762/t on 30 September and the highest level since mid-May. The price stood at $466/t on 12 October 2020.
Meanwhile, the hot rolled band price reached $778/t, up from $762/t on 30 September and also the highest level since mid-May, with prices a year earlier standing at $491/t.
