Crude steel production in India reached 9.7 Mt in September, up from 8.9 Mt in the same month last year but down from a revised figure of close to 9.9 Mt in August, according to provisional Indian Ministry of Steel data reported by IHS. January-September production stood at 87.2 Mt, up sharply from 70.8 Mt in the same period last year.
