Japanese Steel Exports in September

At 3.0 Mt, Japanese crude steel exports climbed 0.5 Mt year-on-year in September, marking a fifth consecutive month of annual growth, data from the Japan Iron and Steel Association reveal. At 9.0 Mt, 3q21 exports were up by 1.4 Mt on the same three months last year and the strongest quarter for shipments since the 1q20.
