World Crude Steel Output in September
At 70.7 Mt, crude steel production in the world excluding China climbed 8.7% annually in September, according to data from the World Steel Association. Meanwhile, output in China sunk 21.2% year-on-year to 73.8 Mt, the lowest daily average since December 2018.
US steel production jumped 22.0% to 7.3 Mt, while the EU posted annual growth of 15.6% to reach 12.7 Mt in September. Output in India and Japan also experienced year-on-year increases, up 7.2% and 25.6% to 9.5 Mt and 8.1 Mt, respectively.
