Asian jet fuel margins soar as aviation demand begins to return

Asian jet fuel refining margins rose to $7.82/bbl as of September 17^th, the highest since March 2020, Reuters reported. The rise was supported by arbitrage flows from the East to the West, which lowered Asian stockpiles. Additionally, the easing of Covid-19 travel restrictions saw the demand for jet fuel rise as countries in the region continue to roll-out vaccination programmes.
