Coal, Grain, Iron Ore, Steel
China imported 28.1 Mt of coal (including anthracite and lignite) in August, a three-month low but up from 20.7 Mt in the same month last year and the third consecutive annual increase, official customs data showed.
Iron ore imports in August reached 97.5 Mt, a four-month high but still down from 100.4 Mt last August.
Meanwhile, soyabean imports reached 9.5 Mt, broadly in line with the 9.6 Mt achieved a year earlier.
Finally, steel exports totalled 5.1 Mt, up from 3.7 Mt last August while imports retreated to 1.1 Mt versus 2.2 Mt in the same month last year.
