Chinese Daily Steel Output in mid-September dips

Daily crude steel output at China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) member mills during 11-20 September averaged 1.99 Mt, down from 2.05 Mt in the first ten days of the month, industry association data showed.

This is the first time since mid-April last year that daily output in a ten-day period has dipped below 2.0 Mt/day.

Production was down -7.2% from the corresponding period of 2020.
