The Chinese domestic rebar price reached the highest level since mid-May on 13 September at $719/t, according to the latest assessments from World Steel Dynamics. This compares with $458/t at the same point last year.

This price has increased from $692/t a week ago and is now up by a net $36/t since the start of September.
