IGC Revises Wheat Export Forecasts

Grain

The International Grain Council (IGC) has upgraded its forecast for Australian wheat exports in the 2021/22 trade year (July-June) by 1.0 Mt to 23.5 Mt, a record high and up 3.8 Mt from the previous 12-month period, the agency said in its September Grain Market Report.

Ukraine’s forecast was upgraded by 0.8 Mt to 23.3 Mt, also a record high and up 6.5 Mt compared with 2020/21, bolstered by a strong harvest and high early-season shipments.

However, the agency downgraded expectations for Canada by 0.7 Mt to 17.3 Mt, more than 10 Mt below 2020/21 exports and the lowest level since 2010/11.
