Indian refinery runs fall to ten-month low

Indian crude oil refinery throughput declined by 220K b/d m-o-m to 4.36M b/d in August, falling to the lowest level since October 2020 as ongoing refinery maintenance weighed on processing, according to data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC). Despite falling to a ten-month low throughput remained up by 540K b/d y-o-y however as tight coronavirus restriction measures weighed on oil demand during the same month last year.
