At 43.9 Mt, iron ore throughput at Port Hedland fell to a six-month low in August, port data showed, as exports were constrained by scheduled terminal maintenance. However, volumes at Dampier reached an eight-month high of 12.0 Mt.

In August last year, iron ore throughput reached 46.1 Mt at Port Hedland and 10.5 Mt at Dampier, respectively.
