Russia exported 14.4 Mt of coking and steam coal (including anthracite and lignite) by sea in July, down 1.0 Mt year-on-year and a three-month low, data from IHS showed.

For steam coal, volumes reached 12.7 Mt with China the largest recipient, receiving 3.6 Mt versus 3.1 Mt a year earlier.

Coking coal exports hit 1.7 Mt, with China also taking the most at 0.5 Mt, down from 0.8 Mt last July.
