Thailand’s crude imports reach three-month high

Thailand’s crude oil imports increased by 78K b/d m-o-m and 6K b/d y-o-y to 856K b/d in August, rising to the highest level since May after previously falling to a four-month low in July, according to data from Thailand’s customs department. Arrivals from North America rose by 44K b/d m-o-m to a five-month high of 67K b/d, with shipments from Asia also increasing by 33K b/d m-o-m to 145K b/d. Imports from the Middle East declined by 83K b/d m-o-m to 381K b/d however, the lowest level since April.
