Brazilian Iron Ore Exports Slow in January

Brazilian iron ore exports fell by 3.7 Mt year-on-year in January to 25.2 Mt, an 11-month low, preliminary customs data shows.
Combined shipments of Brazilian soyabeans and meal increased by 2.9 Mt year-on-year in January to 4.0 Mt. Significantly, this included 2.5 Mt of soyabeans compared to almost none in the same month last year. Corn shipments also increased year-on-year, by 0.5 Mt to 2.8 Mt however, this followed a 14.6 Mt annual fall in shipments in the 2h21 to 16.8 Mt.
