Colombian steam coal exports rose by 0.4 Mt from the same period last year to 4.9 Mt in January, according to IHS data. This increase was as a result of exports to European and Mediterranean destinations rising by 0.5 Mt to 2.9 Mt. By comparison, shipments to Asia and the Americas declined, the latter dropping to an eleven-month low of 1.5 Mt.
