Vietnamese coal imports dropped to the lowest level since August 2018 in January at 1.8 Mt, down by 1.2 Mt year-on-year, according to official data. Imports from Australia fell by 0.6 Mt to a three-month low of 1.0 Mt, while shipments from Indonesia more than halved to 0.3 Mt as the country’s coal export ban constrained shipments.
