Brazilian crude steel production slowed to an 18-month low of 2.6 Mt in December, down by 11.4% year-on-year, according to data from the country’s steel association. However, annual growth in each of the preceding eleven months meant full-year 2021 output was still up by 14.7% on the previous at 36.0 Mt and a new high.
