In signs of a further easing of the export ban, on 13 January, Indonesia permitted 37 vessels carrying coal to depart the country, newswires report. This includes the 14 ships cleared for sailing two days earlier. According to IHS, loading of these 37 vessels began before the export ban was announced on 31 December and their cargoes have already been sold.
