Indian crude steel production climbed to an eight-month high of 9.9 Mt in December, although still down by 3.9% year-on-year, according to preliminary Ministry of Steel data. However, robust output growth earlier in the year meant total 2021 steel production was still up by 16.7% at 117.0 Mt.
