South Korean coal imports fell 0.9 Mt year-on-year to 8.5 Mt in April, however, in January-April imports were still 1.3 Mt above the preceding year at 39.5 Mt, according to McCloskey data. Shipments of steam coal from South Africa reached 1.0 Mt in January-April, up from none in the same four months the year before.
