Brazil’s iron ore exports to China in January and February combined decreased by 6.6 Mt year-on-year to 28.6 Mt, according to customs data. Similarly, shipments to all other Asian destinations were down 1.3 Mt at 6.8 Mt. By comparison, there was a smaller 0.2 Mt drop in shipments to Europe at 4.3 Mt. Brazil exported a total of 44.3 Mt of iron ore to all destinations in January-February, 8.6 Mt below the same two months last year.
