Canada aim to boost pipeline volumes to US

Canada is actively looking at ways to increase pipeline utilisation into the US in order to boost crude exports to Europe, Reuters reported, citing the Canadian Natural Resource minister. The move comes as the European Union announced on March 10 they would look to reduce their reliance on Russian oil following the invasion on Ukraine. In 2021, Canada exported 3.8M b/d of crude oil to the US, according to data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), and some of this volume is then exported to other countries.
