Chinese imports of bauxite grew 1.6 Mt year-on-year to 10.3 Mt in February, according to official data. Shipments from Guinea rose to the highest recorded monthly level at 6.0 Mt, while imports from Indonesia jumped 1.0 Mt from February last year to 1.7 Mt.

Meanwhile, imports of nickel ore fell 0.2 Mt year-on-year to 1.2 Mt, with shipments from the Philippines dropping by 0.3 Mt to 1.0 Mt.
