CISA Steel Output Falls

Daily crude steel output at China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) member mills fell 5.7% from the previous ten days to 2.0 Mt in the period 1-10 March. This represented a 13.8% decline from the same period a year before, according to the industry association.
The rapid increase in Covid cases in China is creating economic headwinds with some industrial operations experiencing supply shortages or temporarily halting activity and logistics disrupted, newswires report.
