HRB Prices Fall

The US domestic price for hot rolled band (HRB) continues to fall, recording the lowest price for more than a year down $298/t over the two weeks to 2 March to $1,189/t, according to the World Steel Dynamics SteelBenchmarker. Decreases were also seen in the Western European and Chinese prices which dropped by $30/t and $17/t to a respective $1,080/t and $661/t. The price premium of US to Western Europe HRB continues to narrow and is now just $109/t, the smallest since October 2020.
