The Western European price of hot rolled band (HRB) jumped $370/t to $1,450/t in the two weeks to 14 March, the highest on record, World Steel Dynamics data show. The declining trend in the US price reversed with an increase of $143/t to $1,332/t, while China’s price rose $26/t to $687/t.
