Thailand’s crude imports rise in February

Thailand’s crude oil imports increased by 426K b/d m-o-m to 970K b/d in February, rising after previously falling to the lowest level since May 2020 in January, customs data showed. Arrivals from the Mediterranean increased by 71K b/d m-o-m to 170K b/d, the highest level on records dating back to 2016, while shipments from North America built by 80K b/d m-o-m to 97K b/d. Imports from West Africa also returned in February after no barrels arrived in January, averaging 138K b/d for the month.
