Indonesia’s diesel imports rise to highest since 2018

Indonesia’s diesel imports increased by 26K b/d m-o-m and 52K b/d y-o-y to 135K b/d in March, rising for the second consecutive month to the highest level since November 2018, according to the government statistics agency Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Gasoline imports declined by 38K b/d m-o-m to 382K b/d however, falling after previously reaching a three-month high in February, with arrivals from northeast Asia falling by 23K b/d m-o-m to 16K b/d. Crude oil imports decreased by 138K b/d m-o-m to 162K b/d, however this is an increase of 148K b/d y-o-y.
