US refinery runs reach fourteen-week high


US refinery throughput increased by 260K b/d w-o-w and 770K b/d y-o-y to 16.41M b/d during the week ending 18 November, rising for the fourth consecutive week to the highest level since August, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). Crude oil imports surged by 1.50M b/d w-o-w to 7.06M b/d, while exports also increased by 380K b/d w-o-w to 4.24M b/d. Commercial crude oil inventories fell by 3.69M b/d w-o-w to 431.67M b/d, while Strategic Petroleum Reserve supplies also declined by 1.60M bbls w-o-w to 390.52M bbls, the lowest level since 1984.
