At 2.0 Mt, US steel imports decreased 0.6 Mt from the same month last year, according to US Census Bureau data.  In the 4q22, exports dropped 1.5 Mt year-on-year to 6.0 Mt. However, this included a decline in exports to Mexico and Canada while shipments to the EU rose 0.3 Mt to 1.1 Mt.
