Exxon prepares to start operations at new 250K b/d CDU

Exxon Mobil are currently preparing to start operations at a new 250K b/d crude distillation unit (CDU) at its 369K b/d Beaumont refinery in Texas, according to Reuters. Initial start-up is expected by 31 January, and it has been planned that the CDU will process crude produced from the Permian shale oil basin in West Texas and New Mexico.
