In the two weeks to 23 January, the Western European and US hot rolled band (HRB) prices jumped $58/t and $42/t to a respective $758/t and $812/t however, prices were still below the 2022 average, according to World Steel Dynamics data. Also increasing, the Chinese domestic HRB price climbed $17/t to $524/t.
