Coal

In November, Indonesia exports of coal rose 8.1 Mt year-on-year to 41.9 Mt (including lignite) however, declining 2.6 Mt from the previous month’s shipments, Bank Indonesia data show. Meanwhile, shipments of bauxite fell 2.0 Mt to 1.0 Mt. Late last year the Indonesian government announced bauxite exports would be banned from June 2023.
