Thailand’s crude imports reach six-month high in December

Thailand’s crude oil imports increased by 58K b/d m-o-m to 902K b/d in December, rising for the second month in a row to the highest level since June, customs data showed. Shipments from North America increased by 73K b/d m-o-m to 106K b/d, while loadings from the Mediterranean also rose by 62K b/d m-o-m to 95K b/d. Loadings from the Middle East declined by 84K b/d m-o-m to 521K b/d however. Across 2022 imports averaged 871K b/d, which is an increase of 25K b/d y-o-y.
