US and European HRB Prices Increase

The US and European hot rolled band (HRB) steel prices reached a respective $1,249/t and $915/t on 27 March, both reaching the highest level since June 2022, according to World Steel Dynamics. The US HRB price increased $107/t over the previous two weeks while the European price climbed $71/t. Meanwhile, the Chinese domestic HRB price was flat at $537/t.
