Simpson Spence Young recognised the potential for a rapidly expanding US market and in 2008, through the acquisition of Islandia Chartering, we established SSY Tankers New York LLC, now a ‘cornerstone’ of our Global Network. In 2010 key personnel were relocated to Singapore acknowledging and anticipating further growth in far Eastern domiciled clients and the need for a high concentration of experienced senior brokers in the region.
